InPost – very strong revenue and profit growth in 2021

International parcel locker technology and delivery company InPost is seeing very strong revenue and profit growth in fiscal year 2021-22.

Revenue for the InPost Group (which now includes its recent acquisition Mondial Relay) increased by 82% to PLN 4.602 billion (£840 million). Profits also increased significantly, by 63.7% to PLN 1.626 billion (£297 million).

The expansion of the InPost parcel locker network was a key driver of this double-digit revenue and profit growth. It added 66% more Automatic Parcel Vending Machines (APMs) to its network in Europe and the UK and now has 2.6 million lockers deployed. At its headquarters in Poland, 90% of new parcel lockers installed in 2021 were installed by the company.

Rafal Brzoska, Founder and CEO of InPost, said: “In 2021, we achieved another solid year of growth and margin expansion in Poland, driven by improved consumer usage as the proximity to our lockers increased. We continue to invest in improving our best-in-class customer experience to help our merchants maximize their sales and customer satisfaction. It is not unimportant that today 56% of the Polish population has our lockers within 7 minutes walk from their home. We have achieved further market share gains not only by placing 9 times more lockers than all our competitors combined in 2021, but thanks to our operational focus and our expertise as a global specialist in parcel vending machines. I’m happy to report that the accumulation of new machine utilization and ROI trends is stronger than all previous year cohorts except covid 2020. In Poland we have now a total of 2.4 million lockers, representing 96% of all parcel lockers in the entire market. The Net Promoter Score (NPS) of our APM service has improved further, reaching a new all-time high of 75. A recent study highlighted that we have consumers’ favorite last mile delivery service in Poland. Our goal is to transfer this elevated customer experience to a pan-European level, accelerated by our acquisition of Mondial Relay.
