Dhaka shares fell today on the profit-booking trend among investors.
DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), fell 54 points to 6,932, dragged down by a 4.87% loss in Robi Axiata.

Its blue chip index fell 23 points, or 0.92%, to 2,579.
At the DSE, 98 stocks were up, 248 were down and 32 were unchanged.
Khulna Printing and Packaging topped the list of winners with a 10% gain, followed by Bashundhara Paper, Fareast Islami Life Insurance, Rangpur Foundry and AMCL Pran.
Shyampur Sugar Mills mainly lost 7.25%, followed by RSRN Steel, S Alam Cold Rolled Steel, Delta Life Insurance and BD Thai Aluminum.
Shares of Beximco Ltd were the most traded shares worth Tk 104 crore, followed by Bangladesh Shipping Corporation, Delta Life Insurance, LafargeHolcim Bangladesh and Power Grid.
DSE revenue down 13% to Tk 1,461 crore.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also fell. CASPI, the CSE’s main index, edged down 183 points, or 0.89%, to 20,311.
Among 304 stocks traded, 86 advanced, 194 fell and 24 remained unchanged.
